Woven Windows: Exploring the Inner and Outer Landscapes

Mil-Tree

Mil-Tree invites veterans, active duty, their families, and community members to collaborate with local artist Ben Allanoff on "Woven Windows", a temporary large-scale sculptural installation. "Woven Windows” will be built collaboratively by participants using plant materials — catalyzing environmental awareness, personal growth, and community connections. Together we will also learn about the history of the land and it’s native people. There will be a talk, a blessing of the land, and moon stories by Serrano and Cahuilla Elder Kim Marcus, and a hike lead by wilderness guide and artist, Jenny Kane.
